Former Investment Head Launches New Company for Growth Businesses

Andrew Bowman

Andrew Bowman, the former Head of Business Investment and Operations for Riverside Inverclyde, has launched a new company, ARB Growth Ltd, offering a bespoke service to businesses with specific aims to grow.

The business, based in Greenock, will work with clients looking to grow economically and deliver improvements to the company across a range of areas, including commercial property, marketing, public relations, business development, strategy and funding based on a short-term project or a more extensive basis as per the clients needs.

The start-up was created following Bowman’s departure from Riverside Inverclyde in June 2019, where he oversaw an 18% increase in occupancy in its portfolio. The new venture has secured nine customers to date from across Inverclyde and other areas of Scotland.

Speaking about the start-up, Bowman said:

“I am delighted to be able to launch ARB Growth formally and it has been a successful start for the business. This has always been a long-term ambition of mine.

“I look forward to working alongside businesses that are hungry for growth but in need of support to deliver their growth aims, something we are ideally placed to help with.”

Bowman started his career in Glasgow at Zurich Insurance in 2009 and was later promoted to a strategic leadership role supporting its public sector arm, Zurich Municipal in London before leaving the private sector to join public sector regeneration charity, Riverside Inverclyde in 2016.

Mr Bowman continued:

“My career to date has given me fantastic access to a wide range of companies, agencies and sectors, all of which has provided an excellent grounding to launch ARB Growth.

“It is an exciting period, and I look forward to supporting businesses to achieve their growth targets, delivering economic growth both locally and nationally.”

Mr Bowman is also the Chair of Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) West region, Junior Vice-President of Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce, co-founder of social enterprise Creative Inverclyde and the founder of Taste Inverclyde, a vehicle to support food and drink businesses in the area.
